Game Features:
The single-player campaign in Halo 2 isn't particularly lengthy, and it should take the average player 10 hours or less to crawl through on its default difficulty setting. The story starts you out as the Master Chief, the intrepid space marine that blew apart the Halo ring, a devastating galaxy-destroying weapon, in the first game, much to the dismay of the Covenant, a group of alien races who regard the ring as a religious artifact that will send them on "the great journey." The plot of the second game deals with the Covenant attempting to go on this great journey using another Halo ring, called Delta Halo. But there's plenty of political upheaval going on in the Covenant ranks, making it tricky all around. Add in a Covenant invasion of Earth, and you've got all the pieces required to throw these factions together again for another round of fighting--though since some of the Covenant races will be fighting each other, too, it's often easier to just run past all of the action.

Even though the hour count for completing the campaign is already low, at times the game feels like it's dragging on, repeating the same corridors and same enemies a little too frequently. Toss in a couple of extremely underwhelming boss fights, and you've got a pretty solid campaign, with some good vehicle sequences to break up the first-person action.

It would be incorrect, but not entirely unreasonable, to claim that Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and its isometric 2D playing field seem just like every other first-generation real-time strategy game ever made. Take away the historical context depicting a millennium of military progress since the Dark Ages, and you'd have a game in which you'd stockpile resources, grow your population, and augment your technology, all to amass an army with which to defeat your enemies as quickly as possible. But even as this model has remained historically relevant for as long as history has been documented, so too is it not liable to stop being the premise for computer games anytime soon. And if Age of Kings is any indication of how such real-time strategy games will continue to improve, then we couldn't be more fortunate.

GREED: Black Border is a mix of Diablo and Shadowgrounds. At the start of the game the player chooses one of three available characters to uncover the mysteries of the mining ship with. The pyro likes it up close and hot and uses uses only a flamethrower. The marine relies on his gatling gun to keep the enemies at bay but can also take a beating thanks to his heavy armor. The third character is the plasma-engineer. She uses a sniper-rifle and takes out the enemies from the distance. The player can not change the appearance or values of his character. Instead the individualisation happens through the investment of skill points. Each level up grants one skill point and two attribute points allowing the player to increase the shield energy or the health of his character. The skill point on the other hand is used to unlock or upgrade new talents through a three-part skill tree. Divided into active (e.g. throwing a grenade), offensive (e.g. automatic knock-back every few seconds) and defensive (e.g. automatic healing) skills, the player can only use one talent of each section at the same time.

Like in every other Hack 'n Slash-RPG these talents help to fight the hordes and hordes of enemies the player will encounter on his journey and will be his only source of experience points. But the most damage is of course done by using weapons. Each character can only use his weapon-class and in singleplayer only those will drop differing in quality and attributes. The same goes for the armor which only consists of helmet (except for the plasma-engineer) and chest. To add a bit more variation, some of the higher quality items have one or more upgrade slots available. Modules dropped by enemies or bought at the merchant can be inserted for increased firepower or better shielding. The merchant, once unlocked, is accessible every five minutes through the use of a teleporter. If the enemies come too close, the player can perform a dodge-move like in ClockStone's first game Avencast: Rise of the Mage making the combat more action-oriented.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is an isometric platform action video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix for the PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade as part of the Tomb Raider series for digital download. Unlike previous games in the series, the game does not carry the Tomb Raider brand and has a heavy emphasis on cooperative gameplay; local co-op is available while online co-op, originally planned for the initial release, will be added in a later update.
